Mandi Leigh
Garden to Table EdD Candidate/Garden Coordinator and Curriculum Developer
When I was a child, I stole stamps from my parents to mail money (loose change) to the World Wildlife Federation. As an adult, I studied rare, endangered, and endemic species in southwest Colorado. I traveled through the ski industry, then field ecology, and after a turn of secondary public school teaching, I am in the weeds of education reform. I remain completely infatuated with relationships among place, human life, and more-than-human life. My EdD dissertation at University of Northern Colorado (UNC) will focus on these relationships as they exist in suburban communities and how they are expressed in curriculum. I currently have two part-time jobs: Student Teacher Supervisor at UNC and Garden Coordinator/Curriculum Developer with Garden to Table.
I use she/her/hers pronouns.
Talk with me about insects, birds, and reforming education!
